The network is the foundation to achieve a high-definition monitor
To the era of high-definition monitor, the front end but must have a high-definition network camera. Mainly due to two aspects:
HD monitor must network must be based video compression and transmission via the IP network, because the only way to control the cost of transmission of high-definition video.
After collection of uncompressed HD video signals both analog and digital transmission mode. Analog transmission commonly used the YPbPr component transfer, all the way to high-definition video signal requires the simultaneous transmission of three coaxial cables. Digital transmission generally use DVI, HDMI or HD-SDI transmission of DVI or HDMI transmission distance of only a few meters, not suitable for monitoring the transmission, HD-SDI can transfer about 100 meters, but demanding coaxial cable the price of the cable is also very expensive. Both analog mode or digital transmission, uncompressed HD video signal transmission costs are significantly higher than the previous analog standard-definition video signals. The use of video compression coding and transmission through the IP network, HD video and SD video transmission cost difference is very small.
Second, HD network camera directly to the front-end processing efficiency and cost more than HD video encoder + HD camcorders advantage.
