Four advantages of network cameras H.264 compression algorithm
H.264 is established on the basis of the MPEG-4 technology, encoding and decoding process mainly includes five parts: inter-frame and Intra Prediction (Estimation), Transform (Transform) and inverse transform, quantization (Quantization) and inverse quantization, loop filter (loop filter), the entropy coding (Entropy Coding).

AVC (H.264) is released from the MPEG-2 video compression standard in 1995, the latest and most promising video compression standard. H.264 is the latest international video coding standard jointly developed by ITU-T and ISO / IEC joint development of the group. With the standard, the same image quality, compression efficiency than previous standards more than two times, H.264 is widely considered the most influential industry standards.
H.264 and international standards such as H.263 and MPEG-4 compared to the biggest advantage is reflected in the following four aspects:
1, the separation of each video frame into blocks composed of pixels, so the video frame encoding processing block level.
2, using the method of spatial redundancy, spatial prediction of some of the original block of video frames, conversion, optimization and entropy coding (VLC).
Three different blocks of successive frames temporary storage, so that only pairs of consecutive frames to change parts of the encoding. The algorithm uses motion estimation and motion compensation. Certain blocks in one or more encoded frame to perform a search to determine the motion vectors, and thus predict the main block in the back of the encoding and decoding.
4, the remaining spatial redundancy, encode residual block in the video frame. For example, for different source block and the corresponding prediction block, again using the conversion, optimization, and entropy coding.
