hi,
recently i had a problem in my laptop dell inspiron(windows 7 home edition). from 12th may whenenver i restart my laptop it goes to may 12th settings.......i cant install a software.....when i restart my laptop its gone.......so i need ur help to solve this issue

More details might help, though we arent strictly a repairing forum ?
Could be running deepfreeze, reverts back to some saved state

Deepfreeze is a kernal-level driver that is loaded with Windows every time it starts.
Older versions of Deepfreeze can be thawed, check here to see if your version is listed:

That link also has instructions for deleting the DF files themselves (assuming you can boot to alternate media and mount the filesystem for editing).
Delete and reboot.
