Hello,

nice board . Im using Win7, my problem is i can install msf, after installation want to use msfpayload through msfconsole... i says cant find binary... in the support corner of metasploit, there is written something like "...Start Menu -> Metasploit3 -> Cygwin Shell shortcut. Once the shell is open, tools such as msfpayload, msfencode, and msfcli should work normally." Within the installation comes no Cygwin shell, i installed cygwin befor on my system, but i guess this cant be reason.. i also tried to install msf directly in my cygwin home folder but this gives me error "postgres error: ALTER USER" during installation...

What you are reading to refers to very old information (as per the date).
Anyways, In your metasploit installation directory you should find the winshell.bat, run it and there you'll be able to execute all the commands you referred to.
