Thought of sharing a link to SMobile Systems Global Threat Center blog, where we have posted a whitepaper on “Study of MITM attacks on Smartphone’s”.

This study was done keeping in mind the increasing use of Wi-Fi over smartphone’s and the critical information a user generally access from smartphone while accessing internet from Wi-Fi hotspot.

I will appreciate your reviews.

Some details of the work:

Devices tested:
Nokia N 95
Windows HTC tilt
T-Mobile G1 Android

1. Detail information about how an attacker can perform the MITM attack
on all the above devices to steal confidential information.

2. What an end user should do to prevent from such attack.

Enjoy :)

got no clue if the author only posted to get people to read his paper but...interesting and well pitty it's on the wifi part only...if browsers are vulnerable to this kind of stuff including things like sslstrip then it doesn't really amaze me smartphones are also vulnerable.

Nicely written though :)
