At GSO we have decided to start a test revenue sharing program. You may have seen similar programs around the internet a places like hxxp://hubpages.com.

This is a test program! If we experience problems we will shut it down so don't be upset!

Here are the down and dirty details.

You can now enter in your Adsense publisher ID into your account for the front-end system of GSO. That is the section where you can submit links and also now you can submit pages or articles.

Your Adsense Publisher ID will now show up %40 of the time ours will show up 60% (Hey I have to pay the bills). This applies to the scoops and links you submit as well as the articles you submit.

For more details and help with this please refer to the associated help file.
Revenue Sharing

This is a test to see how people warm up to the idea and how well it works. Hopefully this works as a great way to give back to users for the content they contribute. As always I am looking forward to your opinions, and comments.

I'm so there, haha.

EDIT: I should mention that my AdSense ID is more like ca-pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. I have one for content and for search. I'm using the content ID.

To figure out what my ID is usually I generate some adsense code and then view it in there. When looking at the the code you can see it there.

Like mine looks like this

<script type="text/javascript"><!--
google_ad_client = "pub-5360732357435292";
/* 200x200, created 3/26/08 */
google_ad_slot = "8562024559";
google_ad_width = 200;
google_ad_height = 200;
//-->
</script>
<script type="text/javascript"
src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
</script>

I was curious wether this is allowed by google and i found the answer (also handy for you to know)
http://www.google.co...00463c30d076bd7
What i am mostly concerned about and seek an answer is : suppose someone publishes
an article and then clicks his own ads will his account get banned or will the site be blacklisted
in google ads ? Ofcourse he can't know wether its his ads or gso's since the pageviews are shared
by 50% but if someone is playing with chances how can you protect your account ?

Revenue sharing is pretty popular these days. I haven't seen a revenue sharing site get blacklisted because of a user clicking ads a lot, so I assume Google are doing less banning and more '0 value click' type stuff now?

<script type="text/javascript"><!--
google_ad_client = "pub-5360732357435292";
/* 200x200, created 3/26/08 */
google_ad_slot = "8562024559";
google_ad_width = 200;
google_ad_height = 200;
//-->
</script>
<script type="text/javascript"
src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
</script>

That is exactly the problem. Google uses the google_ad_slot tag these days and the new code doesn't look like the one GSO generates. I really think that GSO should allmow us writers to enter the google_ad_slot field because i see no revenue from my article.

mahdi, I don't think any of us are seeing anything from it. I'd like to be wrong on this, but even out of all the articles I submit, only a small fraction of them are approved. Perhaps if more people were voting positively a profit could be made. If someone in charge could answer, much appreciated.
