AIM 6.x (6.5 & beta 6.8) uses 2 algorithms to encrypt your AIM password. First the Blowfish algorithm is used to encrypt the AIM password using a 448 bit keyword.
The encrypted string is then encoded using base64 and stored in the registry at:
\\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\America Online\AIM6\Passwords
From illmob.org
AIM Rape decodes these passwords then posts the user and decrypted password to a .php script on a remote server
all in a pretty 7.5kb executable

Haven't used that shit in years! Trillian with the ICQ+AIM options was like striking gold. Is Blowfish reversible? That sucks, such a cool name (and pic).

shit nothings changed in trillian's password method in the past like 8 years
as far as i know they use the same method to store their passwords in the .ini files in the install directory
i made a trillian password decoder like in 2002 and i think it still works

and now blowfish is not reversible atm(bruteforce not taken into account) unless the implementation really really really sucks.
