If i coudn't i wouldn't.
I do it to learn how to secure system's.
I see all thies vulnerabilities and viruses and i wonder what is able to compromise
my friends and family's computers.
Its a growing industry and anyone can join. Thats what has frightened me the most. If you are willing to find out for yourself and not ask a question that you can find on a search engine, you can be a "hacker" too. And all thies new vulns and new o/s's means more new viruses.
I've learned so much that i dont need to know and i must say it has been a learning experiance. Morals set a side.
Oh i gotta say this.
This is a shout out to all the People who say stupid n00b/newb/newbie
Have you been elite so long you forgotten before you were a bonafied
"hacker".

- 2 hacked to attack
- 10 hacked cuz nothing else better to do
Out of 96, only 2 hack to attack. Does that surprise anyone else? I expected that to be much higher.
And 10 of you have nothing else better to do? Perhaps that's more of a function of the choices given in the poll more than anything else. I took this option to mean "Because it's fun". That makes more sense to me.

And all our yesterdays have lighted fools The way to dusty death. Out, out, brief candle! Life's but a walking shadow; a poor player, That struts and frets his hour upon the stage, And then is heard no more: it is a tale Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing.

Is you favorite company REALLY doing that stuff? (Most of them do stuff that alot of people would have moral obligations against)
How does it work, hmm I can make something better by learning from others mistakes.
It's a puzzle.
Find out who is corrupt and who isn't. Got access to thier e-mail, you usually have access to thier personality (unless it's thier junk mail address).
I'm a white hat in the fact that I never do damage, even if pissed. I differ in that I rarly release exploit I find, or trojan code I write except to my freinds. (Note: I'm usually busy, I only find an exploit on average of once every six months)
