hi guys. Those of you who have an INTEL PRO/Wireless 2200BG/2915ABG/3945ABG/3965ABG card can now sniff traffic on unprotected wireless network. The driver for the same is located at

hxxp://www.station-drivers.com/telechargement/intel/intel%203945ABG-v10.5.1.68-2kxp-32-64bits-whql.exe

Note that the driver is an old version released by intel and is not supported now.The newer version is 11.x.x.x but doesent support sniffing traffic on wireless networks.I have been using this for quite some time and I thought i might share this with you.

EDIT:Post if you have any qurries.A copy of the driver is attached here

I have been trying to use the original intel ipw on my fedora for monitoring but couldnt get it to work. I have although, successfully used WifiWay a live distro, to use my card in Monitor mode to crack WEP.
So, any of you using(good at) linux can give WifiWay a try.

Currently I am trying my luck with WPA bruteforcing.

Im using win 7 RC, if I use this driver under winxp compatibility mode is it going to work?

edit: when win 7 was on beta, I had to install the xp driver for wifi to get it work (there wasnt even one for vista back then) and it worked fine if I just used xp compatibility mode.

@webdevil: I DL'd wifiway today, am actually curious if it will support injection on Intel Pro 5x00. I know it exists, but haven't found the time to do it manually.. and I'm a little lazy > I know it will be available in future live distros..

It was 2007 bonarez.
I think we have alot more cheaper stuff available compared to yesteryears to do some WLAN cracking.

Ok, but do you know that Backtrack does support all those drivers that Mango1122 has written, and that it's really easy to crack a WEP key, all the tools come with the aircrack package, and the modules or patch for the intel2200 B/G are included in backtrack so you don't need to download no drivers that is unless you wanna hack WEP through windows XP.
