Ok this is just too good to turn down. Best Buy will sell the Toshiba L35 15.4" widescreen notebook (normally $599) for $249. It is tagged as a "Vista Capable" notebook which means it will run Vista but not the Aero Glass features unless you upgrade the RAM and possibly even the video card. Best Buy states that any "Vista Capable" computer will come with a free upgrade to Vista Home shipped free.

Just a note the audio on Toshiba Laptops suck, even with an amplified High end Logitech system and all the audio controls cranked to max it doesnt come near as loud as a dell laptop.

And since the toshiba only comes with 512 Ram even without Aero they will run very slugish, 2 Gigs is the recommended for Aero 1 gig without.

try to run adobe photoshop and Vista together on 512 ram on a laptop that only has a 5400RPM drive and I will show you mollasses that runs faster.

Yep....that was what it was like at the Best Buy I was at except the parking lot to the front, left, and right were full, and the line wrapped around the store.

I did that once a few years back. There was something I really wanted. I will never do it again. I learned I don't want to buy anything that badly to get up that early. Now I will still get up that early to go hunting but thats a completely different motivational excercise. LOL
