Does anyone know where I could get a brute force program to run with a console terminal? Or maybe one to act like a console terminal and brute force in the same time?
Would you mind being a tad more specific, plz?

John The Ripper, the most
popular brute-forcer
If you had been
looking in any other
sources is a
command-line brute-forcer,
built originally for unix.
Google before you post!

I want to find the password to a switch, and the only way to connect to it is through a serial cable, and I need to brute force it...

what i understood, you have a physical access to your switch.. "CONSOLE"
so what you can do is to do a Password Recovery Procedure without the need to crack your own password or to use any kind of hacking tool,,
each vendor got a way around to reset their switches passwords,
if you are using cisco catalyst switches try the following link , it is very easy
http://www.cisco.com...080094184.shtml
note that reseting the Password will NOT effect your switch configuration ..
all the best..
