many suggest that since we offer membership here once and a while that brings good and bad people here i suggest we make one section invite only.. like basically it would start with GSecur inviting only he people knows and trusts like kennyl and tibbar etc , then move down the line from there with each person in the group voting on how well they know the person and skillset etc... that way there can be a section where some of us can release tools for everyone to test before the AV people etc trolling the forums dont get signatures out before we get chances to test stuff and we dont have 2000 kiddies asking how to use the tool or 'how2compilethnx' posts.. any suggestions?

Thats a good idea, ive seen this done on other forums. It works great or it kills the forum. All the good material that attracts users to forum is kept private so people tend to lose interest.
thats my worry about it. i have seen in the past that usually when an invite only section is added, it gets the best people from the board (a good thing) and then they start posting exclusively in that section and the other section of the board dies (a bad thing)

We do have a couple of private area's for a selected few... were we can talk amongst ourselves and share views ... and there is also a private area for private exploits and programs and a private wargames server...has been for a long time infact a couple of years some sections
How we select members for them areas is via Mods and Admins recommending members ..we then review there previous posts , conduct and attitude ...if they been given a vote of confidence.. we approach them
Any member who asks for access to this area.. via PM or email or chat will never be admitted to them sections... these sections are pure Admin team recommendations only... thats the way we like to keep it
however... there is room for thought , and perhaps we could create a section for members who might one day be selected for our other sections...a sort of stepping stone..for members who want to keep there work private to a select few
we shall see

The pyramid approach you got in mind can work. Start off at the bottom and slowly prove/work your way up. It will help smoothen out the process and ensure quality.

we class our selves as a sort of resources forum... how you use the information found in here is up to you...
its entirely up to the individual if he wants to make public his code , program or exploit etc

I don't mind that at all, full disclosure is full disclosure.. but then again, I ain't no coder (yet) so I don't have to care about it.but some of members are seems to be working for AV-companies.
still if you only publish source and like suggested before keep certain things out, only post older versions etc it shouldn't be difficult to keep things undetected. some code published here have gone a long time before being detected.
Read the rules before you post

Was just about to mention only posting older versions. Anybody who shares their source code should be well aware that they stand a greater risk of getting their creations picked up by an AV. However, isn't that part of the fun? The challange of keeping your game ontop that of the AV companies?
I realize some people 'do this' for fun, the challange, while others do it for the soul purpose of learning. Then there are those who don't know what they're doing, the script kiddies, who hit-and-miss trying the different source codes and programs that are posted hoping for the one they finally understand enough to use against that kid who kicked their a$$ in that one UT game they played 3 months ago. I'm one of those who like to learn, and i find it entertaining seeing how long it takes for AV's to pick-up on mine, as well as other's creations.
