How Cut The Dos Header From Any Exe File

Ok here it is! Attached is a video I have made showing you how to manually remove part of the MZ header and stub. Its a bit rushed, ive been very pushed for time but I hope it helps you understand what we have discussed.

some codecs are missing from mine.... who got a link for them saves me hunting them down...

downloaded a codec package for media player 10... still not working...weird

downloaded a codec package for media player 10... still not working...weird

Opening it with http://www.headbands...t/download.html will tell you what you need to install.

thanks for that finalbeta the program sorted it... i needed the techsmith codec...

if anyone else has a problem with them... here is a link to install it

Which packers have you tried?

How about trying to pack the file first then do the MZ header modification?

First: MZ header modification
Second: try to pack with upx...dont working.

ok when its not possible is no problem.

Cool video, I definitely learned a bit, but hex editing is still sort of a black box to me. What did you use to produce that video? It'd be cool to see some more tutorials done like that.
