create a shortcut to cain application and place it on your startup folder.
Embed any executable in a JPEG image and get it to run upon opening the image with this cool tool that abuses a feature of GDI in Windows systems. for governmentsecurity.org members only! click here to get it!

edit: ok, here's the answer from me as i found it instantly in the documentation: [edit: ok, this won't help you when using autostart as this has to be done manually - get a program which simulates pressing these keys or try sth. like hiderun]
btw if you find sth. about the needed commandline parameters, please share them, though it seems there are none.Q: I used the feature to hide Cain, how can I unhide it now ?
A: The program uses the following hot keys:
Alt + Del -> Hide Cain's Window
Alt + PgDown -> Minimize Cain to the system tray
Alt + PgUp -> Restore Cain's Windows

Not quite on the topic of adding a start-up, but I downloaded C&A the other day and when it finsihed symantec AV showed it as a trojan threat. That was the first time it had done it. Anyone else have this problem?
i had to add Cain to my ignore list for AVG 8.5 on the laptop because it was showing up along with a handfull of my other tools in that same manner, first it showed up as "Trojan keylogger" then "hack tools" then it showed up as "Dataminer" so i finally hit the button for the "add to ignore list" i'm not sure if Norton has that or not, hope this helps

I downloaded the source file and ran it again virustotal.

Very interesting results, my AV did not detect it as any type or malware or virus.

To make it run hidden everytime Windows starts...the easiest and simplest way is creating a Windows Service and make it run under the LocalSystem account and do not interact with the current user´s Desktop.

I was wondering how can you configure Cain & Abel to run on windows startup. Is it possible?
Hi Scaramanga,
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/137890 steps through the process of creating a service, in order to run Cain&Abel at start up. If not sure just PM me.
