Hi everyone!
I'm kind of new to all of this but am learning very quickly.
I've been reading through this forum for almost 2 days straight now and really appreciate all the helpful people and sharing of knowledge.

The problem I am having is that at work they have an internet blocker called Websense. I have been looking for a good proxy server or another way to get past it but haven’t' had much luck yet. If anyone has any advice or tips on how to get around this, it would really help me out a lot.

Yes, I have. The problem with all the webbased proxies that I've tried is that they have already been blocked also. If I could find one that wasn't already blocked then I would be in business.

find a free webhost,sign up...
and upload an html file with this in it:

<iframe src="http://www.proxify.c....com"></iframe>

go to your file...and your done.


not a clean way to do it,but it should work.

I have the same trouble at my school and what I did was find something like PHP Proxy and use google and find a string of words and search for it in quotes that does not contain the words proxy. And boom you have a ton of sites that you can click on and use. Websense will block some but every couple of em should work.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.
Now to find a free host that isn't blocked. About 99.999% of the internet is blocked, it is really hard to find any sites that slip through the filter.

You can try this old trick. Go to an online translation tool and enter the url that's blocked and set it to translate from any language to english. It worked when i was in high school.

heh..... nm about that list. back in my day no one knew about that listing and it was full of working proxies, but if u search on google for the word proxy that's the first site that comes up. Chances are when a new proxy is listed there its dead after a few minuets.

How it is at my school, to get past something I use a CGI proxy, but any, it has to NOT be in the USA. Something like a .de site or something... check the proxy listing here: http://www.governmen...showtopic=16965 and the mirkoreich.de might work.

I tried several translation sites and they were all blocked.
I also tried every proxy link from that other thread but to no avail, all were blocked.

if anyone has anyother ideas, they would be much appreaciated.

Go to dnsstuff.com, resolve the domain to its ip
then convert the ip to hex, octal , dword etc and use that to access it - works 9 times out of 10.

you have an websense around you right, which is blocking you from accessing net.
you can use any proxy for that. just go to google.com & search for " free proxy servers "
you wil get thousands of proxy servrs.

or simply go to anonymizer.com or anonymizer.ru & then access the sites you want

its actually just routing you to a different site with a proxy i set up.


also... it is illegal to bypass company firewalls, just a heads up. (damn, im such a hypocrite)

if you want to, get the code for phproxy 0.4 and find a place that gives u free hosting and make ur own proxy.... GOOD LUCK, AND MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU.
