mate, it´s not because an AV classifies a file as a virus that it is necessarily a virus.
in this particular case, let´s use commons sense..why an AV would classify servicedaemon as a trojan or something like?
because it creates a service for a program u want with just a few cmd line arguments. a service runs hidden on system startup, before users logon to the system... so yeah it could be used maliciously (like anything).
Now u will not have dificulties making it undetected to Norton. I bet u go to other forums get trojaned stuff and dont even realise just because Norton tells the file is clean. tip : switch to a better AV

you want one that can do all what you need but not bloated and resource hogging like norton... any of the above mentioned will be fine.. each is to his own... you will find it hard to better kas or nod or fsecure am not sure about free one's... but AVG at one time was pretty good

avg???
eh...my few experiences with it (I used to play with av to see what they detected how they did it and finally find ways to disable them and see if they could prevent it) were not good with AVG...very weak if compared to Kaspersky and Nod32. slow detection of new viruses, some even wasnt being detected for long time, easy to bypass detection, etc.... that was like 2 or 3 years ago...dunno before that time though.

btw...I litterally broke some mouses in the past when I played computer games
nowadays what I hear and read is that Avira (or Antivir...dont remember now) is one of the best free AVs.

Antivirus comparison test: http://www.virus.gr/portal/en/node/28
Also if you use Avira, i recommend this: http://www.habibbija...on-more-usable/
For paid av, Kaspersky or FSecure
