just a small question, i see when u disconnect it does FLUSH LOGS... what exactly is it meant for, does it delete them or similiar to that?

FLUSH LOGS is equal to sql query "FLUSH LOGS"

you don't need a source
you need to read the mysql manual
sorry to say
the hex format is very important because mysql will remove \ from your hexcode.
