You can make firefox up to three times faster very easily, all you need to do is:
1. Typa about:config in the url bar in Firefox.
2. Type network.http in the filter bar.
3. Double click on network.http.pipelining to set it as true
4. Set network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to 30 (Firefox will then make up to 30 requests at a time)
5. Set network.http.proxy.pipelining as True
6. Rightclick anywhere and choose New -> Integer, name it nglayout.initialpaint.delay and make the value 0.
7. Restart Firefox

maybe it is old...but for me it was a nice finding
it works!

UPX the executable & DLL and you will notice faster start-up times also.
network.http.sendRefererHeader = 0 made it even faster for me.

Wow this is quite old, but a good trick nonetheless. I don't notice a whole lot of difference, then again my connection is already blazing fast anyways.
It's also easier to index the config values that are to be modified by simply typing 'pipe' as the filter.

It's old i knew about this but this has some glitches like alot of images are broken and they don't load as fast

My internet connection is pretty fast but I still did notice a difference!

That prog actually forces firefox to use disk memory instead of RAM which actually make it slower...


BTW, how can can upx make firefox faster ?
