First off Let me say SORRY for not having this presented better, organization is not my strong point and my time is fleeting nowadays. When I started this a while ago it was meant to be a A-Z list of every tool available for securing every aspect of your computer regardless of experience or OS. Basically a one stop shop if you had 0 security or fort knox around your box. These were to be accompanied by tutorials, my 1/2 baked opinions on them and support resources from the official reps of the tool and or REAL people that have used them and their opinions and the reasoning behind them. As you can imagine, have already been working on this a long time, much longer than expected (I went and verified every link), so I would hate for it to outlive its usefullness awaiting me to pretty it up so hopefully it is not toobad on the eyes. I will certainly do my best (suggestions welcome) to remove any dups (I merged many smaller drafts I had) and make it more reader friendly.
It would be great to get feedback and ACTUAL user opinions on the usefulness, usability and preference of those that actual use the products listed. Even better if possibly maintain it with current info and links (reasonably) so people can have a place to find options, opinions, practices and answers to the age old question I see so often of "What is the best(insert AV, AS, FW, AT)"
All Links were live and working and verified at the time of writing, I have removed the HTTP from the beginning of each you do the opposite.

Alternate Data Streams – RootKits – Trojans
The little guarded against threat of ADS, alternate data streams, which are a mutha, and a threat seldom seen. Definitely a good idea to at monitor them, ALL cracked warez .rar will contain these, so depending on your knowledge running these if you have cracked software or frequent Warez sites will trouble you, at least it did me, and drove me to find much more reliable sources for my programs. I will also in clued the Trojan and Rootkit tools I use below as well since all three of these threats are silent killers.

For the hairier times, and just to make life a little harder (and more exciting) I love and use all the software made by DiamondCS but 2 in particular I find save my ass all the time.Is ProcessGuard
://www.diamondcs.com.au/processguard/index.php?page=download
I use it for different reasons though, if you set it right it will stop any program from running that has a hidden or binded program masked within, beneath, inside or otherwise unseen. Like every winrar I open it stops and not only stops it but gives me the options to views the code or raw data behind the app, rates its threat level and lets me decide what to do with it, so I have no one to blame but myself when I get infected.

Anti-Trojan Elite:
://www.remove-trojan.com/index_ate.php "Real-time system protect. Stop the trojan before it bring destory."
SwatIt:
://swatit.org/ - "Swat It was independently tested against popular commercial scanning software and we were absolutely delighted by the results." (And how! The independent test for some reason failed to mention small details like the size of the malware database used - but taking the number reported in the Panda screenshot would indicate that SwatIt detected 62 out of 58,174 giving a detection rate of 0.11%. Wow!)
Anti-Trojan Shield:
://www.atshield.com/ - "Leading-edge anti-Trojan scanning and removal technologies." A nice looking website but their trojan encyclopaedia seems to be missing a few recent entries like Flux, Agobot or SDBot or old DDoS trojans like Trinoo, Tribe Flood Network or Stacheldraht.
Digital Patrol:
://www.proantivirus.com/en/about/ - For a company based in Vancover, I'd expect something better than "Proantivirus Lab creates best anti-trojan and anti-spyware security solutions" or "You will receive your registration code for activaye the trial version immediately after your order completes."

QUOTE
Why is there repeat info or links
The reason things repeat is I did the work in sections. Anti-virus
Kaspersky - AV specific
FireWall
Kaspersky - FW specific
Spyware
kaspersky - SW specific
Some vendors span accross all three, therefore is referenced three times (if I was looking for firewall, not AV and the firewall vendor was only listed once in AV section I would miss it)
Why are there so many programs that require purchase, am I a saleman. NO!
And everything is free, we all know that, but that's your bad choice, at any rate the goal was a complete entire list of options, with their support forums and non-biased opinions of their performance so you can have a problem, see all your potential solutions, and use the support and opinions and company history and promises to pick what is best for you. In my experience in MOST cases, you get what you pay for, and security is quite important, free solutions should be studied and verified in depth and over long period of time as fighting malicious apps is a full time and very time intensive job, not to mention EXPENSIVE for those combatting it.
Not that free is bad, just to be verified.
At any rate a free match to most of the above can be found here:

So to be on the safe side, they aren't included in the list.
If you feel you have the need for a registry cleaner, inquire in the forums, and someone will direct you to one.
