Which Linux Ftp Server Is Best And Why?

for maintenance, my vote goes to vsftpd
for setting up a site glftpd (duh!).

Proftpd has always been my ftp server of choice. It's fast, stable, and doesn't have many security holes at this point (though one has been discovered recently, don't know much about it though). Also, it's easy to setup, making it the best choice for newbies.

vsftp is always gd and come with most new linux distros. preffer ssh though. protocals are now very old.

VSFTPd is terrible, proftpd works well
