Manage Workstation with GPO in windows 2000 server or 2003.

You can lock down just about anything with the proper registry changes and poledit. Also, I would consider using something like deep freeze. This way no matter what changes a user makes, if they even can depending on the policies, then when the machines are rebooted they go back to the clean image via deep freeze and all the changes are reset.

Or use Security Administrator. It's a good program. Should help. Definitely worth to look at.

I do not recommend anyone use any software from Soft Heap. But that is just my opinion. Because I downloaded 1st Security Agent for a few of my workstations to lay heavy restrictions and well it worked great. Optimized for 2K,XP,2003 ... its really good in restriction wise and the best one I could find yet. But... it made insufficient and unknown changes to the system without my consent. I went to go into system restore one day and all the settings were greyed out completely. I could not use any of it. So I cleared every restriction and even uninstalled the program and cleaned up the rest of it. And the system changes were still there. So I checked out google and found some tool that re-enabled it and obviously someone made a program to undo the changes that soft heap made(they knew about it too) So they fixed it up. Not going back to soft heap again. :)
