Hmm, ok heres the situation.

I recently found two backdoor accounts on my computer, placed there when the computer was made. It looks like factory settings repair accounts. (I could just remove them as well I guess, but they don't show up in the XP manage user screen, you can't manage or delete them)

Now I am currently running LC4 on the hashes (NTLM) but by the looks of it it may take a few months.

One of them is:
Support_(Some number)

I guess I can enable lanman authentication real quick and see if the has is re enabled. (I disabled it for security purposes). Lanman only takes 12 hours to crack.

I don't have extra computers to split and run this on, my boss will part with one I can run 24/7.

I want to see what the passwords are, so I can try to access it somehow and delete it. I don't like the idea of backdoor accounts even if it is for repair. I can repair my own computer.

But 100-360 days to crack is wayyy too long for me.

Rainbow crack..it can crack any windows password hash in under 2 minutes. But u first have to create tables which usually take up several gbs or more depending on u're charset. Also it might take awhile to create those tables, upto several days depending on u're processor speed. Regardless this is the fastest method possible for cracking windows passwords.

I've been using rainbowcrack.
At about 3,2 GB of tables it created which took about 11-12 days on my P4 2000 Mhz. On slower computers it could take much much longer to create them so watch out. Cracking passes after you created the tables goes realy fast.
