Does anyone know a better way to get round closed ports for playing online games ? your-freedomDOTnet gives a free 64k one. It uses port 443. Would I have to setup a remote box somewhere? how would I go about doing this?

can any1 explain how your-freedom works?

As you can see the way to comunicate with the web is to:

1. Create an account on their page.
2. Download der Tunneling tool.
3. Install their tool and choose one of their proxys.
4. Insert your account.
5. Surf ( The surfway would be: YOUR_PC -> yourfreedom.net -> Webpage you want to visit)

I understand that but how would a create my own ''your freedom server''? Say a box at a friends house with 1M upload. That is what i want to do. Because the 64k limit is too slow.

You have to understand the technique. What does tunneling do? How do they tunnel the Filers?

You could analyse the traffic to see if they maybe even crypt the packets to bypass filters.
and well, dont just look at one project. If there exists one. There must be more because this one is blocked in many places.

Grab keywords and use google to find more pages like them. Youse google with special keywords like "opensource" or "sourceforge" to maybe find free Tunneling software.
