Some things in life should be free. Easy WiFi Radar helps you find and connect to open wireless access points with a single mouseclick. It's WiFi for Dummies. And we're giving it away.

If you have ever tried to use Windows XP's built-in connection manager, you know what a hassle it can be to quickly check your mail or browse the web on the go. You need to browse through a list of access points, find one that you can connect to, manually try to connect to it, confirm the connection and then wait. Even if it says that's it connected, often it doesn't open a webpage or you mail will stall. Easy WiFi Radar automates all of this. It's main goal is to let you get your mail or surf the web without having to go through all of the connection trouble, and without having to pull your creditcard. Just run it and it'll connect you for FREE to the internet. It doesn't get easier than this.

Get your mail and browse the web without being charged. The ideal WiFi-tool for frequent travellers and mobile professionals. Easy WiFi Radar will connect to open hotspots automatically and shows you exactly what it is doing in a cool animated radar screen. Access points are represented as green, yellow or red dots. It plays a sound and opens your webbrowser as soons as it succesfully finds a free connection. Download your copy now.

check it out ;)

ok its not a security tool..but it will show you the value of having an encrypted connection ...even if encryption is not foolproof am sure most of you agree we would rather connect to an open access point rather than try and crack a key

enjoy

It's a nice tool to have. Throw it in with an assortment of other wifi auditing tools like net-stumbler. I was suprised the guy in the video was logging in to anything authenticated on someone else's unencrypted wireless network.

I'm continually blown away by how many people don't encrypt their wifi networks!

Oh god I put this tool on my computer for when traveling around and got bored on a 5 hour train journey back to London this evening so fired it up and BINGO! I got connected to the GNER wifi service for free! Now GNER is a huge train company and charge 6 for using the wifi service for the entire day but that got defeated in a few seconds...thought they would have known better.

Right now as I'm sat at home I can see 4 different wireless networks with the default SSID names and only 1 is encrypted...with WEP. I have no idea why people use the weakest encryption when todays technology can support more secure methods of connecting to the Internet. Nice find Kenny, was going to post back about this earlier than anticipated.

i was skeptic when i first stumbled across it...even after i viewed the demo....

but like you zorin.. i was out and about also... so sat on a cafe table near Oxford street...fired it up...and found a bunch of connections unencrypted... i also ran netstumbler and selected the stongest signal reducing the noise level giving me maximum signal strength in that location...very neat :)

why pay for hotspots when you got a tool like this ;) ... must admit has to be the easiest tool about.... just glad i found it :)

I had a play with it, and it works. But i am curious to why you would want to use this tool, over say kismet or netstumbler? I just find it a bit limited with the information it gives you about the wireless networks, i'm 'fussy' about what wireless networks i connect to ;) And really, this tool has no benefits over any other tool other than 'ease of use' (in the form of saving you one or two mouse clicks). It's little too user friendly for my liking, i'm sticking to kismet and stumbler :P

It is a pretty cool tool and it works...but it is illegal right? because you sometimes use connections that you will have to paid for

In actuality, there IS a law against 'theft of service'.
At least here in the US.
Just as if you 'hack' the cable companies to get 'free cable service'.
And you can be prosecuted.

Simply amazing isn't it???

just as Trajik said, does this tool provide anyting more than just 'ease of use' ? if that is the reason I am quite comfortable with my laptops wireless communication manager.
