Hello all.
I've installed auditor (a Linux Live-CD) on my HDD. every thing seems ok but costomizing kmenu !
I tried to costimize it but when I press SAVE then problem begins.
I renamed menu "Auditor" to "Penetration" . That's OK!
I moved Submenus (etc. Editor's, Internet, ...) of "Application" menu too Root. but It's not Saved and allways return to default setting
I Added some submenus to "System" but I lost all existing submenus.

I tried with KDE Help and looked at Menu Editor. But I didn't find any solution.

Any Idea ?

I have the same problem, too, and didn't find a solution. If I add anything to applications, or somewhere else, it creates a folder Auditor-Applications in System folder. Upgrading KDE via "apt-get upgrade" didn't also solve my problem at all.

EDIT: this didn't help me much, but you can try the following address:

if this works, I'd ask you to write how you fixed this.

I fixed this. Here is what I did:
1)Install synaptic package manager as debian package.
2)Get the latest packages using apt-get update.
3)Try installing another KDE language interface. After it installs, restart the session.
4)You should have a different menu look. But the disadvantage is that all auditor application shortcuts are saved in a different menu folder called "lost and found", but the menu editor works fine.

I installed the Turkish interface (I don't know why, mayb because I am Turkish :) ) via synaptic, and it says that it removes some packages and reinstalls them, and after the installation, you can boot and use the new interface (this is optional, even if you don't do it, kmenuedit still works fine).
This also means that reinstalling KDE will do the trick, too. I also know that there is another desktop manager called XDM, but never succeeded opening it.
Interface example: kde-i18n-tr / kde-i18n-de or something like that, but it still can be seen via "dpkg-query -l | grep kde".
