Hello!

I read up some ideas on what to post for trial members, and since I’m attempting to become a member, I thought this might be something of some interest for the general crowd.

(Please note this may stray away from computer security, however, in the topic “Posting Ideas For New Members” under suggestion #6 it states “When you're out and about, write about something you notice that seems strange or just plain stupid.” – I’m just stating this to clarify why this post isn’t about security and how this category seems to be the proper place to situate this post.)

For a while now, I’ve been investigating what my colleagues and I call "Area 57". There are quite a few of these facilities, and in an attempt to categorize them, we have labeled them A, B, C, D and so on. We have discovered 16 of them, leading us all the way to the letter O.

The Area 57 buildings are small, behind gas stations, and are frequently by busy roads right in our own back yards. I am unaware if these are situated by your residence, however, but I live in Utah, and as you may or may not know, 86% of land in Utah is owned by the government - more then any other state.

Area 57 as you can see in the pictures below is surrounded by barbed wire fence, along with being covered by signs stating "No Trespassing" and "This area is under security surveillance". The surveillance statement is very true as I have my testimony as evidence. One evening, my fellow investigators and I visited one of the facilities at approximately 4 A.M. We discovered a camera and threw a rock at it (smart, I know). The camera broke off and fell to the ground. We came back 20 minutes later, and the camera was back in its original position - someone had to be watching! But why would they be watching? What could be so important that someone was monitoring this place at 4 A.M.? As we headed home, a car started following us (it’s highly possible that it was unrelated). As suspicious as we are, we stopped walking, while noticing the car was about 150 yards behind us with its lights on - sitting there. We took one step - the car moved up a little, so we started sprinting and the car started driving towards us. Through some crafty maneuvering, we finally lost the car and returned safely home.

The next morning we returned - this time the facility was more protected - more fence, larger barbed wire, more locks, and judging from the time we had last been there - it had only been a few hours since it was setup. Why and how would they do that in such little time, what is so important there? We did some research, and we found more Area 57s in the area. Then it hit me - I placed markers where all the Area 57s were on a map, and the end result looked precisely as it does below.

. . . .
. . . .
. . . .
. . . .

I don’t know how you feel about that pattern, but I highly doubt it’s a coincidence that they are arranged like that.

As we continue to investigate these buildings, please take a look at these pictures. There may be other Area 57s in your area that look like this.

Should try and get better pictures of the misc hardware used for comms (see the microwave dir. antenna on that high mast) and video. And just for fun map the direction of where all the dir. antennas point too (if theres a few of those around would be pretty easy, to triangulate home base see who's watching/monitor what)

I will solve the mystery for you. I have a couple of friends who are in the power industry "see my Mr. Wizards 4th pf July Post" so I immediatly recognize this as a transformer station, or a substation. Basically it assists in either maintaining the power levels of the powerlines or stepping down the AC current to usable residential leves (This is why you see so many) Also the sign you have up there is a fire sign that tells the fire department what types of fire supression systems are acceptable. For example whater would not be a good idea. :o

Pretty good find although GSecur does have a point. With the so called risk of terror attacks some governments like to protect substations and things like that (at least they say they do).

Can you take some more pictures for us? maybe a google maps co-ordinates to look at as well.

or just run inside and see how far you get

Let the expert on government conspiracies comment (me)

First I would like to say these bases may actually be FEMA detention camps, why they are currently building and have for many years.
These camps are designed to hold well, combined these camps can hold literally millions of people, they say these camps are for terrorists, however you would have to wonder why they are building so many then...who are these camps really for? Why do they need them? Is there going to be like some sort of social chaos? What will trigger this chaos? How do they know about this?

I really think you should be more worried about what FEMA are doing than anything else....for those of you don't know FEMA (whether you like to face this or not) will have the power to totally take over America, in the event of a major terrorist attacks, and this includes the power for them to declare Martial Law.

I think GSec is incorrect about them being power stations..well i guess it depends on how many they are, I mean well they may be power stations, but they will not be to respond to terrorist attacks or anything like that, because we all should know who the terrorists are.

I already found some interesting stuff with it, like a building middle in the desert, its length is 3km!
Anywayz, download here: http://earth.google.com

Wow bud, you have some really crazy ideas. I worked along side of FEMA during 911 and my wife was actually on loan to them for three months. From what I saw first hand, I doubt FEMA has detention camps.

Oh yeah, in the case of Martial Law, the military is the ones in charge. FEMA acts as a planning and logistic center. Here is how it went on 911, my own personal story which may fill you in on how FEMA acts.

On September 11th I was still in the military at McGuire AFB which in case you did not know is in New Jersey. At the time we were the largest military facility to NYC. Fort Monmouth an Army base was not fully operational (mostly administrative buildings) and Fort Dix was only a federal penitentiary not the full military training base it is now. That morning word quickly spread that a plane had crashed into a single tower, so many of us gathered into the main conference room of the 21st Air force building which sits parallel to the McGuire flight line. It was sitting in that conference room that I saw the second plane hit the tower. At that point military units were given the word to be on standby for obvious reasons. I was put on another list because being local to the area I knew how to drive a larger truck into NYC to aid in any emergency efforts, and my wife was volunteered for any Admin help anyone would need.

Now my memory fails me a bit right now. But it was either the same day or the next day when 15 black hawk helicopters flew in with the first of the military commanders and FEMA folks. My wife was called up to work with the local head of the Fema attachment, helping him with who to call, how to get around the base and so forth.

I being IT with the rest of the Communications squadron had to make sure that the Crisis Action Teams command centers had fully operational equipment and so on. So they could communicate properly with the heads of civilian emergency services as well military ones. FEMA has no real equipment of there own, so military battle field medical units were flown by helicopter as well as trucked in by deus and halfs to help the local medics since they were overrun with the injured an low on personnel after the second tower collapsed and killed so many workers. All of this was requested by FEMA but never was the military chain of command changed. Those units were still military and under the control of military officers.

One conversation that I remember many of the Big wigs arguing about was how much the military can help. The military is limited in how it can deploy on American soil without an act of congress or a direct command from the president.

I believe it was on the third day that Gulioni and the President landed on McGuire. I guess as a security precaution both Military helicopters as well as the 2 USA 1 presidential Limo's left. That way it hard to tell which contains the people.

My wife worked for FEMA another 2 months, as the cleanup process continued, since the military also brought in construction equipment and cleanup crews to help. So I aways find it a but strange that people come up with so many theories when they can ask people who were there, and have everything straightened out.

~GSecur

I know precisely what you are talking about, and yes I know what that sign does mean. However, these places are different; I know exactly where all the power stations are in my area; however I suppose I will have to come up with something else to become a full member.

Thanks

THis was an interesting topic. Let's just not go overboard on conspiracies. GSO has addressed its feelings about conspiracies. I'm not saying NO CONSPIRACIES (some actually do happen!), I'm just saying USE YOUR JUDGEMENT, just like with everything else.

However, if you post conspiracy after conspiracy, the mods may conspire against you.

This didn't seem to be a conspiracy thread, at least at first. It appeared to be a "hey, what the heck is this?"

p.s. Regarding #6 idea, "something stupid" means a stupid practice that reduces security, not stupid as in silly. I amended the original post.

No, I did not think this post was stupid or silly. I just don't want someone reading the excerpt of #6 and "going to town cuz beardednose said "stupid is okay."

Don't just focus on becoming a member; focus on providing insight and thought provoking questions and comments. If you contribute well, you will be noticed. Just be patient.
Don't post just a THANKS! Here's why...

its not a substation but it does have a bank of regulators for stepping up/down the voltage on the lines based on load.(I'm a utility employee)

it looks to me like a pump station either for water or sewer, the very large blue pipe coming out of the building along with the large green utility riser outside are what I'm basing my claim on. given the hazmat signs and ample ventilation of the buildings they're also fluoridating the water.

I guess you could explore the Dr Strangelove tangent of fluoridation stealing our purity of essence though.

You need to do your home work then, they do.
Although they say they are for terrorists.

I don't wish to argue this GSecur but you may want to research this.

I don't really care whether they do or not, I am not American.

I don't know why you find it hard to believe, it is pretty much public knowledge.

http://www.apfn.org/apfn/camps1.htm

American Free Press is something I find reliable.

And no I don't just believe this because of one news article.
