Nobody seems to have read what this guy is saying.
If you dont have a Static IP assigned by your ISP (http://www.whatismyip.com, Check it, wait a day check again, if its differant, then you have a dynamic ip) then you need to get hostname, to do that you need to use a Dynamic DNS service.
I've always used no-ip.info (Free as in beer) when i didn't have a static, i always thought that http://www.dyndns.com was a paid service anyway.
Once you've signed up and downloaded the client then your have your own: myname.no-ip.info (they've got a list of domains to choose from)
Then just configure you're VPN server (bear in mind, if your using Dynamic DNS then setting up the VPN on your router WILL NOT WORK UNLESS YOUR ROUTER IS ONE OF THOSE THAT HAS A BUILT IN DYNAMIC DNS CLIENT)
