Apache Confuriguration On Windows Configuration

Hey guys
i have an apache version of 1.3 and windows operation systerm. When i try to configure reading the readme.txt i cannot configure it. Well i dont use the perl script. I use PHP script and could you tell me to configure the PHP in Apache.

Easy install. It instals Apache - Mysql. U can start php coding 5 mins after install.

Reallly good.

1) there's already a newer version out - Apache 2.0.54

tested XAMPP some time ago, works really fine, you onl need to unpack it and start apache and mysql with the batch files :)
it has some security bugs like directory traversal, but as long as you use it only local, this doesn't matter (simply bind it to 127.0.0.1 if this isn't done so in the standard config).

3) if i understand you right, you want to install php. if you still want to do it yourself, there are infos about running apache with php on http://php.net, you also find many tutorials with google.

I really don't want to start a new topic for this, so here goes.

Aside from the security flaws in Windows, is there a good guide to securely installing Apache on Win2k so Apache itself isn't vulnerable to bugs and exploits or damage is minimized should Apache be exploited?
