hi guys
some one has do a mass mail sending to my yahoo mail from ia2.hamdam.com
well I think the kid has upload a mail bomber script on this server and has hide his IP.
I want to know is it still possible to track emails (for example by message ID) and ind his real IP ?
(it's esmtp exim 4.5 and I don't have any account on the server)

U cant as there r a lot of method of spaming. The guy can use a relay server for example.

he could do it in 1000ways; download the email and open it in some txt viewer...

try with this site extreme-guides.com/sup/3/1/ it will show you how to trace spamer or how to reduce it...

gmail have better spam control so go there.

There's also spamcop.net if you want to make a free or paid account there and submit original headers and email. They do a pretty good job at snuffing out email addresses to report spam to.

How do they do this if the spamer'd uploaded a script on a hacked box and spamed via it!

they report that IP address, notification will go to zombied system and the spammer loses in the end.

I'd like to add on that if you have access to the mail server, add an RBL

www.msexchange.org has alot of good anti spam rbl links and etc.
