you have all the tools you need, kernel wich is very stabile and secure...

u can customize the tools but from your question I doubt that you have enough skillz.

@y'all...

I think it was a fair assesment as in the question he says "Plus I don't know that much about linux" and I think judging from that it is fair to say that creating a custom CD is a bit beyond what he is trying to do.

I'm a linux meister and I don't bother with creating my own CD just cause the current ones meet my needs. And I'm lazy.

Anyways skillz vs no skillz stops here. Security tools advice only if anyone wants to post more.

i tried both Whax and Auditor and i would go for Whax, i really like the exploit archives (securityfocus, milw0rm and packetstorm exploits are in there), and when i work with Auditor i just always have the feeling that iam not knowing something (ok this is probably the most vague discription i ever gave on these forums).

I would recommend:

P.H.L.A.K - Professional Hackers Linux Assualt Kit
Whoopix - White Hat Knoppix

just 2 of my favorites that I use on the LAN. Whoopix seems to be in high regards these day's, and last I heard the PHLAK project got canceled.

Best of luck :)
