Wrote this a while ago - had a post here about it - and it got taken down as I mistakenly trusted someone else to host the file for me.

I never jumped in and corrected the link because the more times I read it - the more things I found need to be corrected.

so here it is!

v.2 of How To Bypass Your Corporate Firewall.

Same disclamier as before:

This is just one of many ways to acomplish the same task. I attempted to make it as easy as I could for anyone to pick up and use sucessfully.

any questions/comments or concerns ....well read the paper.

You can download and keep the PDF from here...

Hey,

there is a typo
hxxp://www.p%5bingywon.com/bypassfirewall.zip
should be:
hxxp://www.pingywon.com/bypassfirewall.zip

Btw a tip. Instead installing cygwin and sshd, Id recommend for windows users:
hxxp://www.freesshd.com/

It's a nice ssh server for free, and it accepts dsa/rsa/password for authentication. Keys should be made with puttygen (at putty website).

cheers

Thank you. I corrected the typeo.

Like I said there is more then one way to get something like this working. No matter what you use to get the sshd running the method for connection remains pretty much the same.

...thanks for the info - im going to look into this program

I am using a piece of software called htthost and httport which does the trick. It sets up a tunnel between your machine and your server which tunnels anything over the connection. You can even do it over port 80 :)

Every company allows port 80 traffic :)

Google for it and you'll find it

I would assume(with out having looked into it) it doesnt offer the encrytion that ssh does.

Thats important to me.

I'm using httport aswell, Encryption is possible but only in remote host mode ( that means running htthost at home )
HTTPort uses RSA (1024 bit key size) and Blowfish (192 bit key size).

It does the job and is easy to work with.
