i personally run whoppix 2.6.final-beta :P nearly newest ;P (now is 2.7)
it has many good tools and can be runned from cd (it's based on knoppix linux)
fast, not 2 big and fresh stuff on-board(CD) :P

Latest Tools
Nmap 3.8.1
Nessus 2.2.4
Metasploit Framework 2.4
Amap 5.0
Aireplay 2.2 beta
Hydra 4.6
And more...

you can take a look/d-load it from http://www.whoppix.net/ :}

and if s1 has used both please write a note about differences/ which is better ;)

i've heard about "audtior" or sth but i've not used it ;P

and know for the pendrive

The first beta release of LittleBoy, the latest edition to the PHLAK project. This edition is developed for USB pen drives. Don't worry, you can still run it from CD if you want. The differences between LittleBoy and the normal version of PHLAK (0.3) include:

* smaller size (195 MB currently)
* support being booted primarily from USB but supports CD-ROM as well

NOTE: Not all PCs support booting from USB. Check your hardware manuals for information.

How do I use it? Download the ISO image, burn it to CD-RW (check the forum and wiki for help with this), boot it. I have included a script on the desktop for installing to USB pen drives. Install it, then you can boot from USB.

- working with 2.6.12.4 kernel (need to test in base and miniroot)
- wifi drivers: patched orinoco, madwifi, ipw2100, hostap, acx100/acx111(Texas Instruments), ndiswrappers, wlan-ng
- unionfs 1.1.1
- captive-ntfs(ntfs write support) is working on development box, need to test in LiveCD environment
- latest version fluxbox 0.9.14 & working on new theme/style and menu

Thanks, 3 years a ago I was an active hacker. I was reading tutorials, books etc etc. But I stopped and started with desiging (Photoshop, drawing, 3d and graffiti writing) but I started with hacking, I'm going to buy today a new harddisk of 300GB and I was planning to install linux on it. So the link that you posted is very usefull. Im starting with hacking :P (and I will still design) Thanks 4 Posting
