hello Gso members!


I would like to discuss the security concerns you may have about a system called BLive we are inplementing in the support department.

blive.com offers kind of like remote desktop sharing (a la vnc and netmeeting), however it goes via THEIR central servers (yes this is where my alarm bells ring), it does this becuase 1) they can charge via the mb of data and 2) the CLIENT gets redirect to their webserver and only a activex component is installed on the client side. So in theory anyone with access to the web can have remote support.

Here i would like to discuss;
1) the possible intrusion of Blive onto client's (and our own) systems?
2) the possible infomation blive could monitor / record / use / SELL? ?
3) any other issues you may like to raise?

There is quite possibilities... this turely tells... u'r security is compromised...

no way... man... Go for OpenSource... or compromised everything u have :blink:
