Penetration Testing Product CORE IMPACT now Integrates Results from Retina Network Security Scanner
(ALISO VIEJO, CA) February 15, 2005 Core Security Technologies, provider of CORE IMPACT, the first-to-market penetration testing product for assessing specific information security risks, and eEye Digital Security, a leading network security software company enabling businesses to protect and manage their network infrastructure, today announced the integration of their products, CORE IMPACT and Retina Network Security Scanner. This effort will help customers better secure their networks by enabling them to seamlessly integrate their vulnerability scanning and penetration testing activities.
"Until now, our customers who use Retina for vulnerability scanning manually integrated their results directly in CORE IMPACT," said Ivan Arce, CTO of Core Security Technologies. "Now the quality output from their Retina scans can be automatically integrated into CORE IMPACT as the starting point for their penetration tests."
With the new Retina integration, users can scan their network against the most comprehensive vulnerability database, and then seamlessly import those results into CORE IMPACT. With IMPACT they can then safely exploit those same vulnerabilities, replicating the kinds of access an intruder could achieve, thereby proving the actual paths of attack that must be eliminated.
