Paper on Security Process For Beginners
by easternerd

Hi guys ,
i just prepared a Paper on the basics of Infomarmation Security, I thought i should share it with you guys...
I had a bad time filtering out information so that it didnt sound too technical.
But it still gives the information one needs in order to understand the technology behind security as a holistic approach.

Here are the contents :

Quote

WHAT IS SECURITY?

WHY DO WE NEED SECURITY?

HOW DO WE SECURE?

DEFENCE IN DEPTH CONCEPT

WHAT IS VULNERABILITY?

DATA AND NETWORK SECURITY

MALICIOUS SOFTWARE (Malware)

VIRUS & HOAX INFORMATION

HACKERS AND HOW THEY WORK

NETWORK BASED ATTACKS

COUNTER MEASURES

TECHNICAL SAFEGUARDS AND CONTROLS

SECURITY POLICY

USING SECURITY POLICY TO MANAGE RISK

INCIDENTS

The Strange Tale of the DOS attacks Against GRC.Com

Hope you Like it guys :)
Please leave your feedback !! Im also preparing another paper on Shared Networking Concepts ( ofcourse with a security perspective ) :)

I read the paper (quickly) and i think it's a very good guide to security for begginers.

I can't write all these contents to less than 100 pages.

Good job!
The definitions are very important to begginers. :)
