he once forgot to apply the patch to his phpnuke site and one of his members did a aql injection and posted the md5 hashes of the admins on the forums ..but i quickly informed him about it .. I hope he changed their passwords from then cause I still have those hashes but never bothered to crack them...

IMO, phpnuke is too insecure to use as a security site..

I personally run a phpnuek site but I had enough and closed it after I received the latest exploit from bugtraq dated april 12 which was sent by waraxe

ryan recame up in these days, but he deleted a lot of sections, like bots section. anyone know if it is a permanent situation?

rbot.org was down for a few days and now it point to ms site...

True, they can be annoying, but bot kiddies are not likely going away any time soon, and having a reasonably public forum where we can get a look at what kind of things are happening on that scene is a valuable resource to security researchers and hackers alike.

K ... that is odd. Whois returns nothing for "rbot.org" Arin says the IP block that this host resolves to belongs to M$, Web browser show M$ website.

Any guesses on what gives with that?

Okay my name is krack i hosted rbot.org and am a friends of ryans his site went down for a number of reasons he made a post on my site (a security site likes ryans) www.kracked.net

those 2 sites are gone for good the owners of them got tired of script kiddies posting stupid shit on their forums and the kiddies packeting the sites so they took it off and both official irc rooms are +k also thanx alot script kiddies

ive noticed from a few posts in other forums that the site was under ddos by a virus and that the owner redirected the dns to another company, who then got annoyed with the ddos. so now it redirects to yahoo

kinda sux that people had to ruin that, had a great time watching peopel get flamed and at the same time learning more programming by looking at the code that was posted, stupid script kiddies

i agree with final beta. there will always be script kiddies as long as bots are made public. and ryans forum some stuff helped and some didnt. Most every flamed every one for stupid stuff. it is unlike this forum i see more and more people helping eachother here then anywhere.

If you think about it, when you started "hacking", did you ever use a trojan or a skiddie program? I can bet money 99% of you have and will deny it so you can look good
I know I did, im not ashamed to admit it. It seems like everyone here hates skiddies, but if you think about it, most of them (especially the ones who setup botnets) know alot of programming. I myself have gotten help from these skiddies when I was making programs. So before you flame skiddies, look what all they do for you people out there who claim to be '1337 hackers'. Look at spyboy, you know, if he wasent here some hacker who was just hungry for knowledge prolly would get caught and ruin his life when all he wanted to do was learn more about how somthing worked. The site in question is down because a certain developer of rxbot (no longer I beleive) coded a dos script into it to hit several sites, including spamming of ryan1918.com, check symantecs securityresponse and you'll see

Www.0x000.org is similar, although we don't apprreciate kiddyish shit, just good old chat about it

although some may agree/disagree with me...
there are good and bad script kiddies...

everyone starts off as a "script kiddie" but its not generally refered to as a person who dont know much.
good script kiddies want to know HOW it works and WHY it works and wants to try and make his own. etc..

a bad script kiddie just wants the programs or "T00lZ"
and their too easy to identify nowdays

Actually my site is down because I took it down, I could of kept it up if I wanted even with all the wasted bandwidth from that worm. But you know no one ever thanks me or even just says, damn that was a good site, even if they learned one thing on it, yes there was alot of stupid people on there flaming and what not but there was also alot of good things on there, and I never get thanked for all the time and effort I really put into it, It was using over 200GIGS a month that I had to pay for out of my own pocket and all the time I spent adding stories, fixing it up, adding source codes and whatnot.. So anywas my site will never be coming back, if anything a personal site but it was good when it was up and hit millions of hits from when it began. So anyways I'm still not dead just coming around every once in a while, if anyone needs me email me at ryan1918@famvid.com and NO i don't have any bots so don't even think about emailing me for them. hey. i would just like to say that i really liked ryan's site. i use to use it way before he had the new phpnuke setup and really helped me learn how to script out my own gtbot that kicked major ass and spread very well.

i liked ryans site..however i think that allowing the posting of botnet information(i mean a tual channels..keys etc) is a stupid idea. Its just as easy for the fbi to be watching as anyone else on the internet..it also induced a hell of a lot of bitching and moaning.

I agree as well. I mean, at the moment I'm using the "T00lZ", and seeing how they work. but im not going to just stay in that rut messing with other peoples software!
