Hi Friends,

I have made a Win 2k Server CD slipstreamed with SP3. I used NERO 6 to make it as bootable. But, when I tried to boot with it, I have been getting the error,

CDBOOT: Can not boot from CD code:5

Well well, I searched a lot to find a solution, but unfortunately I couldnt. Did you people (Win admins) ever face this problem?..

Thanks

This is a mysterious question i have never seen a real answer for. However, many ppl think it is due to an illegal copy of nero, or a bad key in it, but i tend to disagree.
but i say it is probably that you need to disable ISO file version extensions. On newer Nero versions click the "ISO" tab and make sure that option "Do not add ';1' ISO file version extensions" is checked.
On older Nero versions this option is not present and you will have to edit the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ahead\Nero - Burning Rom\General\AddISOFileVersion
Set the value to 0 (zero) Then re-write the CD again.

Or, make a boot disk (floppy) and i gaurantee itll boot the cd. The cd burned right, but not to a coreectly bootable format

Woody, It was not that problem.. I had disabled ISO file version Extensions.

The problem was at "Number of loaded sectors".. Well, have to put "4"... I had put 1 and I think that might be the problem. Because this time I got everything right.

You have to ENABLE EXPERT SETTING and under it, give,

a. Kind of emulation......... No emulation
b. Load segment sectors...... 07C0
c. Number of loaded sectors..... 4
This solved the issue.
