Yeap depends on the exe u trying to install. I had to play around with this for
a long time to get the bloody thing to work.
Note if u tried to take an original service and simply change the service path and exe u will get that error. WHEN windows install the service specific registry keys with legacy information is added to to the registry for that particular exe / service. So that strategy wont work.
My suggestion is to check this
tool out, it allows u to add any exe with any name and any description and any path to the service list.
