hey guys when MS rlsed msn6 they introduced a new protocol for msn caled msnp9 or soemthing... anyway since then the client my friend was using cannot work anymore.. for some reason.
is there a new msn client for *nix or updates etc...
ive never endevoured to put a chat program on my linux box as i use my windows box to do all the chat crap..
constructive comments are quite helpfull.

CenterICQ is another chois
it support Yahoo, ICQ , AIM and MSN .
but it`s GUI , mmm seems good ? no no !
but it`s better than nothing !
i highly recommend AMSN too .

if you're using GTK+ I strongly recommend Gaim...ahh....gtk.... Or if you prefer wt (Yech!) there's kopete.

yes me too, I recommend Gaim, for few reasons:
1- it's on sourceforge.net, a dynamic projet.
2- it's open source.
3- it's rulezz!!!

gain is good but it does not support file transfers very well and other things.

Then use Kopete. Kopete supports transfers amongst other things...
