I use serv-u havnt tried anythign else but reading this topic im gonna try ioftpd

I use Serv-U 5.0.0.4 which i modded myself, I never tried something else cuz im really happy with serv-u especially the remote admin

I've had luck with servu, but my fav is BPFTPS , couldnt fxp w/ others before hand, never figured out why.

well curently i use serv-u5 cause it is good
once i downloaded ioftpd but i couldnt really configure it :/
since there is no interface:/ can anyone help??

i use serv-u, too, it`s the easiest one for me i think

i am using serv-u 5.0 the newest one and under linux i am using vsFTP 1.1.3

ioFTPD and Serv-U! The first is great when you have lots of plugins and the second perfect for remote control

is there any way to mod the newest Version of ioFTPD ?
so i can change ioFTPD.exe to svchost.exe or anything else.

always using serv-u, modded ofcourse otherwise its to easy for the admins

Serv-u!!!

Serv-U 4.1 modded in such way that it is not possible to use the known exploits, I
renamed STOU/CHMOD/MTDM commands and changed some other things.

I like servu cuz it's simple and provides a nice remote admin gui.

IF you modded the MTDM command then better be carefull, because the same or simialr exploit can be used for various other commands.

The exploit occurs whenever a reply string is generated by serv-u that is longer then 256 bytes, which means any command that echos the filename in it. Thus a similar exploit can be obtained using the CWD command on a non existing dir. For example:
CWD lkjfsalkjhga
550 /lkjfsalkjhga: No such file or directory.

Thus the reply buffer will get an overflow in the place of the lkjfsalkjhga reply.
I havent tested all the commands. MKD should cause it as well as should RMD.
I caught all those in my exploitstopper.dll by simply disallowing any command reply to grow beyound the buffer length minus the sensible reply length. Thus all old servu versions can no longer be hacked into. In servu 5.x this exploit is stopped by by the coder of servu itself.
It was just that the exlpoit was first found using the MTDM command. Of course since the other commands give a bit different replies (longer or shorter) the exploit would need some minor changes (add a couple of NOP's).

Mostly Serv-u. Its easy to handle.

I will try in next time ioftpd @ Windows.

and i use bullet proof for local and modded serv-u for remote cause its the easiest to set up in comparation to the features it has.

i am using servu 5.2.x modded and ioftpd. i think they are good

i cant find the names of the service, -description and the ini file.
