Full Version: Find Local Passwords
Hey,
Can u tell me where are local passwords stored in WXP and W2k, and how to decrypt them?
If you have access to the machine, this should work...It is well know that Windows 2k/XP local user account passwords can be reset with Petter Nordahl's ntbootdisk available at http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/bootdisk.html
---------------------- If not, look for resources on the Windows "SAM" file... Here is a google search that came up with some interesting resources -> http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-...G=Google+Search
Nt password are stored in Sam for dump it use pwdump for example and decrypt them with a specific tools (john or lc4).
And google for the rest....
if u want, just store the contents of pwdump in a txt file and send it to me ( consulting1020@hotmail.com ) and i'll crack it for u... cause i just made a huge dictionary and wanna see if it works...
thanx all, gonna try
