emulator? as long as I know it's not a emulator..
They just wrote the whole windows API's for linux.. so it's some kind of a layer..
but not an emulator afaik..
It's pretty cool I am able to run winrar in Linux now.. tried winamp also but it crashed here before it showed up.. don't care though.. was just for testing.. and btw I even extracted some files made on a windows box by winrar also and extracted it on winrar on wine.. and it did it perfectly.. pretty cool app.. Recommendation!

QUOTE
Wine is an Open Source implementation of the Windows API on top of X and Unix.

Think of Wine as a compatibility layer for running Windows programs. Wine does not require Microsoft Windows, as it is a completely free alternative implementation of the Windows API consisting of 100% non-Microsoft code, however Wine can optionally use native Windows DLLs if they are available. Wine provides both a development toolkit for porting Windows source code to Unix as well as a program loader, allowing many unmodified Windows programs to run on x86-based Unixes, including Linux, FreeBSD, and Solaris.

QUOTE
Q: Why can't i start a thread and view downloads ?

A: the reason is several months back we were flooded with Virii uploaders and Lame questions and requests, so after we cleaned up the forum and deleted 12,000 members the forum was then closed... after some debate we decided to Open again to the public BUT did not want a repeat episode , so we introduced the Trial Member status.

kk i'll start to make more usefull postings. biggrin.gif
wanksta
Hmmm no eftex, you are right. I am a member and can't see the books too!
Tarantula[X]
Can some one reupload it.
