Hello,
I should have posted this in the email security forum I suppose but it doesn't seem to be very active.
Anyhow,sometimes when I send a mail I get a returned message :
"Can not check MX records for recipient host"
If I resend most of the time it gets through.
What are MX records?
Ta.

If you know where it should go, why post it inthe wrong spot?
I think most ppl use the "view active topics" page:
http://forums.governmentsecurity.org/index...&CODE=getactiveSo nothing gets missed.

MX records are the "mail exchange" records in DNS that poing to mail servers. So if I get a domain like awokawoka.com you would setup MX records in your DNS server to point to your mail server and backup mail server. You can set different priorities on the MX records to make one primary and the other secondary.
