Hello all,

I am currently playing some hacker contests in astalavista.net and try2hack.nl
They are good challenges as i am a newbie i want to know the basic techniques
to bypass/crack such webpages.Please if u have any idea regarding that please discuss in this topic.Tutorials will be appreciated!

those sites can use many tricky ways for authentication that a normal person wouldnt use (because in the end they are designed to be hacked)
in most cases you just need to download the page and analyze it. notepad is ur friend smile.gif

i suggest to use a good replacement of the notepad to see a source of such "site for hacking"
good means in this case-with colored syntax
it gives u a fast look what is going on
my favourite one for such purposes is EmEditor Pro

Also use FireFox it has a very nice FREE plug in that lets you via the script of any Java that the site use's. It is called the JavaScript Debugger, and you can get it from the plug-in page of FireFox.

I used it to get through some of thoes games.

You don't need such complicated tools for such challenges, because the scripts on these challenges are pretty easy to understand. I solved most of these problems with notepad, and less than basic HTML and Javascript knowledge. But you may need a Java Decompiler, a debugger, and so on:)
