hi,
i have a folder in windows ntfs partition with over 1000 files... suddenly i find that only files from A-I are visible, all the others don't show up in explorer anymore, yet can be opened by filename...
any ideas how to make them visible again?
Note that moving A-I out the folder doesn't help...
Cheers
p.s. dont u just love MS!

windows dos go's mad if you put 2 many files in a folder, but 1000 is not a problem.
try if you see them with dos.

it is posible that somebody set up a root kit in that folder, and that makes all the files invisible...try antivirus-scaning
p.s:sorry, my english is full of bugs

just a thought but maybe you could try with dos as mentioned above or even
right click my computer > properties > advanced > performance> settings > adjust for best performance.
okay that
try again?
