generating the tables is time consuming. it is better to form a group of 8 people to generate each set of table. currently, i'm still generating it... it takes nearly 2 weeks to finish off a file (1GB) from a PIV 2.4GHz. if you have multiple computers, you could distribute the generation process.

lm configuration #6
charset [ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ0123456789!@#$%^&*()-_+=~`[]{}|\:;"'<>,.?/ ]
keyspace 7555858447479 (2^42.8)
table size 64 GB
success probability 0.999

Has anyone discovered any of the tables I'm seeding being corrupt? I copied the lm tables to another drive (building a web interface at work) and two were bad and had to be regenerated.

Krogoth -- Be sure to add a space to the config and your charset.txt file. These are not in there by default and is an easy way to defeat your tables.

kbnet -- We ended up writing (a rather ugly, but functional) interface in php. As far as I can tell it's vulnerable to a stack overflow and has serious format strings issues. But it does work, and considering it's only for our company pen testers and is well protected we're not too worried. Right now I'm having an issue of the process not forking into the background so the page refreshes until rcrack is done and mails the results to the requestor. But I think I just discovered how to fix that.

Thanks

Hi, e see this thread and i have a ideia rolleyes.gif
Im wondering if someone want to join in a project to make rainbow tables (lm_alpha-numeric-symbol32-space). For more info o can see http://mc.tuxsp.org/~manson/forum/showthread.php?p=3#post3 or join #tables rainbow @ EFNET irc.efnet.org , if u want to join just PM cool.gif

I'm also looking into NTLM, SHA-1, expanding MD-5 and PIX. Anyone up for help with generating?

Oh we figured out the web interface in php. It's not perfect but it usually works.

I'm still seeding both torrents but I will be taking my system offline for probably a couple days to replace my gateway.

I've already posted up the link in a bunch of places, but... well, this is a topic where it definitely applies, heh...

thePhuz.com's Rainbow Cracker

It's obvious this has been done before, but... well, I wrote the php stuff, took me a few hours to make and another few to debug, and it took a VB timer and a batch file to make everything run smoothly. However, it is up, so check it out.

As to genning the LM config #6, we're working on it already. Feel free to view the site, PM me if you'd like to help. Currently the cracker is hooked up to Alpha-Numeric-Symbol14-Space, but pretty soon (if people help out wink.gif) we'll be up to a brand spankin new Alpha-Numeric-Symbol32-Space set :-D

Oh, and I almost forgot... I love you fenriz smile.gif Thanks for the torrent; if not for you, we'd still have AlphaNumeric, 3.2 GB XD

I tried connecting to the tracker but had no luck sad.gif

Anybody willing to put up a new tracker/site?

I was lookin' for the MD5 tables biggrin.gif

Expect to compute each table on each computer, but then look @ about 25% of the computers and attempt to get them all clusterd up (openmosix, but as far as i know thats mainly for cracking the hash's not generating tables for them). But have a look at rtgen and its equivilants, if you can run multiple instances, thats all you need...

You can indeed run multiple instances of rtgen, and really this is your best bet anyway. You could still run a cluster if you wanted to I figure, but then just have as many instances open as you have cpus in your cluster.

Can anyone still seed? I need a bit more, lol.

I forgot who asked but XBT Tracker is crazy stable if you want to switch trackers. And remember torrents are useless without seeders. wink.gif

Someone suggested using Condor " High Throughput Computing (HTC) on large collections of distributively owned computing resources" for creating tables faster. Has anyone sucuessfully setup condor to run over an winXP network? The problems i've been running into is creating the credentials to add new processes to the que. It seems each system has to be logged into by a specific condor account with system level rights to add to the 'pool'.

Anyone get through this and execute rtgen across the pool?

Is anyone still trying to get these? I have not seen any traffic in a while and took it down.

I too have been looking for the md5 files, and found the torrents from both you and myth. I'm kind of new to "torrent" and just download bittorrent a few days ago. I try to download from you guys, but the speed is 0 for both upload and download...sorry if this is a noobish thing, but I am really interested in the md5 tables and would seed for a while...
