i was wondering if it was possible to kill the process vsmon.exe (Trute internet monitor service name), i tried with some pskill /kill tools but access is denied.......

moreover i was also trying to stop the service vsmon but the requested actions is not possible.

If it's really impossible to stop it i'm gonna buy it and install it on my tiny lan lol

I used kill.exe and it worked just fine.

However, this pop-up showed up on my screen (see attachment):

without pulling some clever magic by injecting into the zonealarm processes and forcing them to halt the firewall, you will have to do this:

1> remove the service - set it to manual or disabled
2> reboot the machine

voila.

works every time.

now as for the clever way... well think about it, zonealarm.exe does it.. so why can't our own program? there is a way you just have to reverse engineer what zonealarm is doing.
