1.Start Registry Editor.

2.Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\TerminalServer\WinStations\RDP-Tcp\PortNumber

3.On the Edit menu, click Modify, and then click Decimal.

4.Type the new port number, and then click OK.

5.Quit Registry Editor.
Note When you try to connect to this computer by using the Remote Desktop connection, you must type the new port. Also you may want to restart first. Because it did not work for me until I restarted. Good luck this is a very useful tweak if you have remote desktop enabled and you are afraid of someone connecting to it that easily.

ah thx this is very helpful.

btw is there a scanner out there which scans for terminal server passes? didnt come across one yet
Checkz
tsgrinder from www.hammerofgod.com should do the trick
h3llraz0r
nice trick to change the port # and yes tsgrinder is the tool you need
passi
Good to know. Thanks smile.gif
buzzons
well if you scan for 3389 you will find them.. however RDC responds in an oddway to scans so if you scan a whole range you will see the RDC port open even if its 5000 or somthing.

also.. if you didnt know in that program you just add :port at the end to change the port it connects to.

Yes that is what the tweak does instead of 3389 you can change it to anything you wish. So if you port scan 3389 it will not respond at all.
