It's been asked here for so many times, again it was asked today, and I got sick of telling people read the thread or explaining it. Here it is then...

Yea help the FXP-scene some more, now they can attack their own servers, LOL!
Anyway, for those who don't know how to recover a Servu.ini password: you don't need to know as replacing the ini and rebooting the Servudaemon will autofix the password.
But of course noone thought of this ...

PS: don't be a morron and do know that you need to create a new ini file in order to fix this. (and remember the password ffs)

Again with the fxp scene thing. I do not help rehacking, this is encryption. You can not rehack anything with this information, this is just interesting material. And that is y I looked into it.

Recovering the administrators password can't be used to "rehack" the server you say? Thats the first time i hear something like that ...

To get this information, you would already have to have read on the server. Since their already would be a serv-u running, you would have write and execute right two Using this to rehack a server would the dumbest thing (and a big waste of time )you can do when you can simply start your own server. But then again, I don't really know you.

Like FiNaLBeTa says, it would be much simpler to setup your own server on the box. If you already had access to the machine, legit or otherwise, you'd just kill the existing server and install your own. Hence this isn't really useful or practical for rehacking.
On the otherside, understanding what is going on here is, so nice post and explanation FiNaLBeTa, I'm sure it will benefit some people.
